Course catalogue: how to apply?

If you would like to take part in a transnational learning experience at one of the CHARM-EU universites, check out the Who can apply and When should I apply sections, then follow the guide for application below and submit your learning agreement and the application form by the deadline.

Who can apply?

  • You are a Bachelor’s, Master’s student or Doctoral candidate of one of the CHARM-EU universities
    • If your background and experience (e.g. language attainment level where relevant) align with the requirements of the module.

When should I apply?

The deadlines to apply are:

  • For the courses to be started in September: 15th June 2026.
  • For the courses to be started in October or later: 6th September 2026.

How should I apply?

  1. Scan the Transnational online catalogue and identify any courses that fit your study programme or are of interest to you.
  2. Contact your study advisor (i.e. the person responsible for the programme you are currently doing at your university or your Erasmus coordinator), discuss:
    1. whether the course is suitable for your programme as a core or an elective course
    2. and the way the Learning Agreement should be prepared
  1. If your study advisor approves, please complete the Learning Agreement * and have it signed by the Erasmus+ coordinator at your faculty or department (both digital signature and scanned copies of the signed document are acceptable).

* Students at Utrecht University do not require a Learning Agreement.

4. To apply for one of the courses, please fill in the online application form, which is available here: application form.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE ON THE LEARNING AGREEMENT
  1. Not all universities can recognise credits; in those cases, a Learning Agreement won’t be requested. Check the table below to see if you need to complete the Learning Agreement

*Students at Utrecht University do not require a Learning Agreement.

  1. Students whose applications are approved must send the signed Learning Agreement to the contact person of their own university (see below). The LA should not be signed by the host university.
  1. The Learning Agreement does not yet give you a guarantee for credit transfer towards your own study programme. Credit recognition will be managed in line with the standard procedures of your home university. For details, please turn to the contact person of your university (see details below).
  1. In case you are in the final semester of your current study programme, the credits obtained may not be counted towards the overall credits of your programme, as credit transfer takes place (in most cases) retrospectively, after the end of the semester / at the beginning of the next semester. In case you are hesitant in this regard, please contact your local registrar’s office.
  1. If you are not interested in credit recognition, you do not need to present a Learning Agreement.

When do I get a reply?

After the deadline for applications, we will check all documents and allocate the available places. You can expect to have a final answer:

  • In case of the 15 June deadline by 15 July 2026.
  • In case of the 6 September deadline at least 3 weeks before the start of the course.

After you are admitted, your host university will onboard you and give you access to the course materials and other things you may need.

Please, contact the home university as soon as possible, if for any reason you cannot attend the course after registration.

Where can I ask a question?

At each participating university, there’s a contact point for your questions. Please, raise your questions to the contact point of your own university.
