A proposal developed in the CHARM-EU R&I dimension has secured funding under the highly competitive Water4All call of the Horizon Europe program. A multidisciplinary team led by Prof. Judit Mádl-Szőnyi (ELTE) will work on a nature-based solution that mitigates the impact of extreme climate events and contributes to securing water supplies.
The European University Alliance CHARM-EU is experimenting with innovative teaching and learning. In the master’s program ‘Global Challenges for Sustainability’, the alliance is actively testing innovative concepts. The program is attended synchronously by students in five different CHARM-EU universities through hybrid active learning classrooms. These are interconnected high-tech rooms designed for both local and remote education. In this article, we explore CHARM-EU's experiences and insights gained from the use of those spaces which make European collaboration tangible and visible in everyday practice.
The ED-AFFICHE Mid-Term Meeting, held in Brussels on 22 November 2023, brought together representatives of the ED-AFFICHE European Universities Alliances, Quality Assurance, European Commission and ministries representatives and key stakeholders to provide an update on key aspects of the European Degree Label initiative. Discussions ranged from the design of the label to the analysis of legal barriers and insights from key stakeholders such as the European Commission, quality assurance agencies and students.
The 2023 CHARM-EU Annual Conference, presented by Doris Fischer, CHARM-EU Director at Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg, unfolded as an exploration of the theme “Alliances for Society”. This inclusive event, combining onsite and online participation, served as a platform for real engagement and deep conversations.
