First JVAO presential meeting held in Barcelona
The JVAO is the key CHARM-EU contact point from each partner university and the main contact point for the students and the teaching staff participating in the Master’s in Global Challenges for Sustainability
Last 28-29 October 2021, our Joint Virtual Administrative Office gathered in Barcelona for their first face-to-face meeting to discuss about different aspects of the JVAO management including procedures and regulations, admission processes and next steps. One representative from each of the universities was present and the event was led by the CHARM-EU Alliance Manager, Meritxell Chaves.
Prof. Joan Guàrdia, Rector from the University of Barcelona (CHARM-EU Coordinator) opened the meeting with a warm welcome. His speech was followed by a ice-break game among participants. After that, The JVAO team met with different CHARM-EU departments and work package leaders’ issues related to the master's program in Global Challenges for Sustainability such as communications, VLE and IT strategy. The meeting ended with a bike tour around Barcelona to show our partners curious places in the city.
This event was an opportunity of strengthening ties between the partner’s universities and advancing administrative processes to improve the experience for both students and professors of the master's program in Global Challenges for Sustainability.
About the JVAO
The JVAO is composed of five Officers, each working in a different CHARM-EU university, and each responsible for coordinating one of the 5 main responsibilities: Registration (UB), Education (UU), Mobility (ELTE), Boards (TCD) and Services (UM). Even though each of these five main tasks is the responsibility of a different university, all 5 officers work on all 5 tasks hand-in-hand, as a unique and united office.
