The TORCH Project is developing a joint strategy for the CHARM-EU Alliance to support multidisciplinary research collaboration around a number of societal challenges, as well as to prompt the creation of researchers’ networks within the Alliance universities.
As part of this plan, two different resources are available:
· 'Partner Search' tool. A researchers database, available to the whole academic community, to serve three main purposes:
- Academic staff and researchers would be able to find (and would be findable by) potential partners to join European and national research projects, based on their expertise and interests.
- CHARM-EU staff developing the Alliance’s teaching programmes would be able to find teachers/researchers that could join the diverse initiatives: Masters in Global Challenges for Sustainability; and any future programmes (joint PhD programmes; doctoral and staff exchanges networks, microcredentials, etc.).
- The research support offices in our universities, in charge of managing European research proposals and projects, would be able to find researchers to complete new consortia research teams.
· 'Post an Idea' noticeboard. A board on a wall where researchers preparing proposals to apply for European or national funding calls can post a partner search request or offer, in order to find suitable colleagues to join their initiatives.
